Charcoal fire
The köfte is grilled over charcoal — that smoky aroma is where the flavour comes from.
İzmir · Bornova · Three generations
Hand-shaped köfte — Turkish grilled meatballs — where warm bread, charred pepper, onion and spice come together on paper. That old, honest taste, in the heart of the neighbourhood.
Our story
Köfteci Tamer began in the 1950s, selling köfte from a cart on the streets of İzmir. The craft passed from grandfather to father to son, and in 1996 it settled into the shop it calls home today.
The care hasn't changed: the meat is chosen daily, the köfte is shaped by hand, grilled over charcoal and served on paper — with everything it needs, all together. No frills, just flavour.
Why is köfte on paper different?
Our signature
The famous serving that carried Köfteci Tamer beyond İzmir: everything arrives together, on warm paper.

Frothy, real ayran — the perfect match for the spice of the köfte.
A table that plays to taste, not show. One taste and you'll find your way back.
